We wanted to thank you guys for a wonderful
weekend. We were made to feel at home and our four
legged family members were loved as much as we love them.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful campground.
After three years of camping we have finally found a
place that we can't wait to return to!

Hi Birgit and Meik,
Rob and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our
stay. Your campground is an excellent concept executed
perfectly. I really appreciated that Meik went to the effort
to make me vegetarian versions of each of the Hamburg Fest
dishes--they were delicious and the evening was very
entertaining! The Easter egg hunt for the dogs was a hoot and
Ti really appreciated having his choice of off-leash areas to
run.
We are looking forward to a longer return visit where we can
do some sightseeing. We originally had planned to visit
Lake Lure and Chimney Rock while we were there, but the
campground was so nice we decided to just hang out there for
our stay. Thank you again for a wonderful experience,

Hello! This is Dick and Lisa Brandon.
We just returned from camping this Easter weekend.
Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the camping and first
Harbor feast. So did our Mini Dachshunds Mickey,
Maggie and Rosetta. Our friends enjoyed it too.
We would like to reserve sites for Labor Day Weekend.
Thanks again for a wonderful Easter
weekend. Dick Brandon - April 2009

Thank you for all that you did to make the
2009 Casita and Friends Rally such a big success. Our
fiberglass friends had so many positive comments about their
experience at Four Paws. They enjoyed the Friday Dinner
and the ice cream social. All of the dogs delighted in
playing with other fur friends. Everyone was amazed at
the hospitality of the Four Paws family.
Campers who had not been to Four Paws previously are not
looking forward to future visits. Keep up the good
work!!

Meik
and Brigitt:
THANK YOU so much for a great July 4th weekend. I felt
very fortunate that one of the cabins came open at the last
moment. I had just finished chemo in June and in just a
few weeks, I will be having surgery and radiation ...
I wish my little shepherd puppy would have been a little more
well behaved. But if he ever hopes to be a service dog
for a family, he needs to be exposed to lots of different
things. He's still a work in progress. And, this
was a chance for the little guy to actually get tired!
I also wanted to let you know what the karaoke event did for
me. I picked out the song The Rose, because that was the
song playing in the vet's office the day I had to put Dusty to
sleep, and I planted a rose bush to always remember him.
Dusty was the first dog I brought to 4 Paws Kingdom. I
started out singing the song to remember him, but in the
middle of singing it, I realized I had changed. When I
reached the words, "It's the soul afraid of dying, that
never learns to live", I realized I was actually living
in the moment, standing up and singing karaoke without fear.
I was LIVING! Now the song was about me.
Thank you for providing this great camping retreat to refresh
body and soul.
There is nothing better than hanging out with your dogs and
being around people who share that joy.
It is a place you can come by yourself and not be alone.
I hope to be back again soon!

Our second visit to Four Paws was wonderful!
The Margaritaville event offered great food and entertainment.
A super evening of meeting new friends. Blayze loved her
birthday party and the puppy pool in the dog park. Roux
enjoyed chasing butterflies in the small dog park and swimming
in pond. Rex just loves lounging around in the cabin. Keep up
the good work and we hope to see y'all again soon!!

Hi Schroeder,
We had an awesome time. While we work on our cabin, we most
likely will see you again. Had fun.

Wanted to thank you for your hospitality
to us and Shaye when we were there. Everyone loves
the painting you did of the Basenji, and I have given the
brochures we took to the people at the dog park we
frequent for their interest. Took some pictures in
the rainy morning, and will show them around as well.
I have attached a picture of Shaye as a model for the next
Basenji painting you may decide to do.
Next time we are up that way and
have more than one night to camp, we'll be visiting again.

was our first trip there but I hope it won't be our last.
Everyone there from you two to everyone else who helped
make the weekend possible deserve much praise. The place
was immaculate. All of the doggie areas were great.
Nova especially loved the lake. It's Tuesday and
she is still moving slow. You made my family group feel
very welcome.

considering the rain, a wonderful time.
It was a pleasure meeting you, and your family. We

family, that your campground is the place to stay.
Will send you pictures soon. Bonnie

Meik,
Birgit, Schroeder and Lucy
Mike and I
had a great weekend. The Rat Pack Show was a blast and
we had an awesome time. The pets really enjoyed
themselves also and the more we come the more it seems
like family and a home away from home. You both really
have a great place and I am glad that we are not
too far away.
We hope to
get there for the weekend of the leaf clean-up to help.
If we don't make it back this season, we will definitely
be there next year. We wish you all a great holiday
season.
Thank
you all for providing such a nice and peaceful place
that owners can share with their pets.

Dear Meik and Birgit, Schroeder
and Lucy (and all of the wonderful campers and helpers) -
Thank you so much for your
hospitality and for the lovely, clean and fun and
entertaining campground! Robyn, Jim, and our Vizslas
had such a lovely trip to North Carolina and our favorite
moments were with you!
We arrived and were welcomed with
a friendly "hello" - perked ears and wagging
hind ends - from the corgis and a seamless and easy
check in by both Meik and Birgit! This included the
ability to get firewood, ice, a map of the grounds and an
escort to our campsite with expert "back-in"
assistance for rookies! After we set up the doggie
fencing and hooked up was a jaunt to the first dog park to
meet some other sweet doggies! We also did some
walking to tour the grounds and checked out the swimming
pond for a quick dip! This was Jenna's favorite place!
It was a lovely afternoon and after our ahi tuna grilled
dinner, a nice campfire in our private fire pit, and hot
showers in the lovely bath house, we got a good night's
sleep in preparation for Agility Boot Camp!
The two-day Agility Boot camp was
an excellent experience! Birgit and her lovely
"doggie assistant" Judy, did a fabulous job of
matching the training tips and strategies to both the
beginner dogs and handlers. It was just perfect,
presenting both challenges, reinforcement and new
learnings - old dogs learned new tricks and young dogs got
the support and positive reinforcement necessary for a very
good experience!!! We laughed alot and also learned a
great deal in such a short time! Thank you!
After attending our breed
Nationals with the vizslas, we were very anxious to return
for more fun at Four Paws Kingdom and for some much needed
relaxation and exercise. We were so happy when Winston
made the "cut" but then did not continue in the
breed ring, because that meant that we would make it back
for Dean Martin and Las Vegas night at Four Paws!
Yippy! Although we were a bit late because we needed
to walk and feed the vizslas, our hosts, including the
entertainers, accommodated us with an "out of this
world" dinner and dessert!!! "Dean" was
amazing, and his lovely wife and casino team made it an
evening that will always be remembered with many smiles.
The Italian suit was my favorite!!! The glances
between "Dean Martin" and his wife were genuine
and very sweet. And we even won $19 of tokens on our
casino gaming for our return visit! HAH!
Please know that our trip was
perfect because of YOU! Four Paws Kingdom is a place
where we experienced what defines excellent customer
service, entertainment and class, in a place where we can do
what we love most, which is enjoy our dogs and our
friendship!
THANK YOU!!!
