February 21, 2005, Rutherfordton, NC – Four Paws Kingdom Campground – is announcing several new additions to their impressive array of dog facilities at the first and only dog dedicated campground in the US.

Following the campground motto:

“Four Paws Kingdom – a great place for you and your best friend too.”,  owners Meik and Birgit Bartoschek, have carefully worked through the ideas and suggestions provided to them by many of the 2004 customers, and chosen additions to be included in campground within the next few weeks. Among them are:

• Several new hiking trails and paths, incorporating a beautiful shaded walkway through an old forest
• An AKC style Rally-Obedience Course with introductory training for the campers
• A newly designed, off-leash “Small Dog Playground” conveniently located next to the campsites
• A washer/dryer laundry facility to clean up “Rover’s” blanket, towels and bandanas.
• On site WIFI access to facilitate campers with state-of-the art web browsing

 “We want our two and four legged friends to be able to enjoy a dog dedicated vacation experience unlike any other. That includes providing full service camping facilities for our humans guests as well as custom build dog amenities for our canine visitors.”

Four Paws Kingdom will open its 2005 season on March 24.  All weekend lectures, workshops and seminars at the campground pavilion are sponsored by the Four Paws Kingdom Foundation (a 501 C-3 National Heritage Foundation).
